FDLI Website Updates

During my time at FDLI, a nonprofit in D.C., I had the opportunity to create and redesign a few webpages and elements. The goal was to give the pages a modern look that aligned with their recent logo update.

Update Magazine Webpage Redesign

FDLI wanted their online article publication, Update Magazine, to look more like a news website - with articles organized by date instead of quarterly issue. Pulling inspiration from major news sites like The Washington Post, I created a page that had a highlighted article at the top and a gridded list of articles below. Alignment, spacing, and font were key in creating a more modern layout.

Header Redesign

FDLI imagined a donate button in their header, but didn’t have enough room. My solution was to slightly shrink the logo, decrease padding surrounding the navigation, and simplify the “become a member” button. The result is simpler and easier to read at a glance.

Donate Page Design

FDLI needed a page to solicit donations from its members and the general public. I created this page in an afternoon, using copy from the marketing team.
